The System is simple to use and only a very basic knowledge of HTML is required. The following is a overview how you would go about constructing a website using the iNi CMS System. Step 1- Server Account - Your server account is set up and configured by our technicians with in hours of placing your order. You are supplied with administrative access as well as ftp access.
Step 2- Configure your webpages in the CMS System. - In the CMS utilities section add pages to the data system. The system will create the snippets needed to insert dynamic content into your webpages.
Step 3- Create the webpages. -
iNi CMS is compatible with any HTML authoring tool such as Dreamweaver or Front Page. It is also compatible for use with third party HTML templates. -
Add dynamic content to your webpages. Here you have two options. -
If all your webpages are going to share a common look then use the publishing tool built into the system. For this option you will create only one webpage leave the content areas blank. In this page you will insert three tags. Upload the page with all the graphics to the server. After you have configured your pages in the admin section you can then use the publishing tool to create and layout you entire site. -
If each page in your website is going to have a unique look then you would create your pages. Copy pre-configured HTML snippets from the admin utilities section and paste them into your pages where the content will be placed. Then upload the pages. Step 4 - Add content to your site. - Use the webpage content management interface to add dynamic content for each webpage.
- Content that can be added include: formatted text, pictures, files such as .PDFs, hyper links, meta tag information, etc.
